After untold successful gigs throughout 2005/06, Schtum takes control once again this November for the End Lounge Party, now joined by the (in)famous Stealth crew (purveyors of Primal, Turnmills’ premier Hip Hop & DnB night) with the launch of a fresh collaboration: SUBSTANCE.

The ultimate in eclecticism, Substance features a block rocking party combination of Hip Hop, ElectroHouse, Drum & Bass, Funk and Ska.

The definitive all star cast includes 1XTRA’S Rodney  P & Skitz,  purveyors of the finest Brit Hop, who are making a real noise on the British club scene at the moment.  Their show 'Original Fever' is now a worldwide phenomenon,  but the duo are becoming best known for their own production and infectious stage show.  Check them out at www.bbc.co.uk/1xtra

Joining them will be the daddy of nu-electro, Radioactive Man (2 Lone Swordsmen). Keith Tenniswood's prolific label Control Tower continues to expand, while with Andrew Weatherall he's just done four tracks for Primal Scream's album, remixed Dave Tipper & Percy X, and plays Fabric, Hoxton & worldwide regularly. Need we say more?
Expect ElectroFunk, breakbeat and drum and bass in there for certain, plus a little bit of dub style electronica in places.

The Trojan Records sponsored Tighten Up nights resurrect that unique 70s vibe and their resident
Nick Nice
will not disappoint: Expect reggae, ska, rocksteady, old-school-dancehall, roots & dubstyle to add to the mix.

Topped of with the last UK appearance til Summer 2007 of Schtum supremo DJ Deviant www.schtum.org (purveyor of all things funky & electronic), & quality sets from Stealth Roller Shenwww.myspace.com/stealthrollers ), and Jim West (lockedgroove.com ); Schtum & Stealth's new venture Substance looks set to continue to represent the quality dance music that has made their respective nights at Turnmills, the End and the rest of London town so popular over the last 2 years...

Just as expected Chew The Fat’s ninth birthday party was off the hook! A fantastic night and testament to the strength of London’s break scene. Following on, November’s party at The End doesn’t disappoint, bringing some of the best up and coming names alongside some of the most respected.

Headlining the main room is none other than the Godfather of breaks, Rennie Pilgrem. Head of TCR records, producer of some of the finest breakbeat cuts of all time, world touring DJ and creator of the term ‘nu skool breaks’, there isn’t much this man hasn’t done in his career. Joining him will be Aussie boy Dopamine, back in the UK for the first time since February. After picking up the ‘Best Single’ award at Breakspoll 2006, Dopamine (or Matt as he’s known to his mum) has released a string of outstanding singles and remixes all the way through the year.

The new tracks from Fat! boy Merka’s debut artist album have been the subject of much hype recently, and initial reactions to his ‘My Spaceship’ single suggest that the fuss is more than justified. Tonight is the official launch party for the single, don’t miss. DEF inc, promoters of the London’s legendary C64 free parties, have been causing a stir across the world recently travelling to Hong Kong and India to spread their party breakbeat sound. Making their second visit to The End this year, they rocked it last time and are sure to do so again!

Another of Fat’s new signings Unique 3, are the legendary acid house act that have been undergoing something of a resurgence recently. With their classic anthem ‘The Theme’ being signed to Fat!, their sound is being introduced to a whole new generation of ravers. Last but not least Duncan K, resident of Maidstone’s Babyshake nights will be joining resident Kid Blue to complete a top line up in the main room.

In the lounge, Schtum takes control once again, now joined by the (in)famous Stealth crew (purveyors of Primal, Turnmills’ premier Hip Hop & DnB night) with the launch of a fresh collaboration: SUBSTANCE.
The ultimate in eclecticism, Substance features a block rocking party combination of Hip Hop, Electro, Booty House, and Ska.  A definitive all star cast includes 1XTRA’S Rodney  P & Skitz, Radioactive Man and Tighten Up’s Nick Nice; plus the last UK appearance til Summer 2007 of Schtum supremo DJ Deviant.
All in all a top night of beat treats from Chew The Fat!
